Ah, if you thought the Wine & Wisdom was our only activity for July, you’d be sadly mistaken! Not only do we have a fabulous Supper Speakeasy in store, we also have our first outdoor movie of the year. Wnat to be among the first to hear the updates? Be sure to sign up for our newsletter on the home page.
Rock & Roll Speakeasy: Enjoy a delight of dishes, prepared by Chef Alison Mann, designed around some of your favorite rock & roll legends like the Rolling Stones (maybe a Keith Moon Pie), some great soul food resembling the likes of James Brown and of course, you know there will have to be some peanut butter and banana for The King! The date for this one is set for July 29, the last Thursday in July. We’ll be bringing you more details as they are available.
Picnics & Flicks is back! You may have joined us over the last couple of years at our outdoor movie series held in different areas around Louisville. We’ve had a Classic 80s movie series followed by a fabulous summer with John Cusack last year. This year, we’re only doing a couple of big time showings and really having some fun. Live music, a double feature, food and fun. However, we want you to help us pick the movies. Take a look at the list of movies we’re considering and let us know in the comments section what you’d most like to see. And by all means, list your own suggestions as well. Most of the list below is geared toward the idea of our location – soon to be confirmed.
Shakespeare in Love
Romeo & Juliet (Claire Danes & Leo DiCaprio version)
10 Things I Hate About You
Monty Python – Holy Grail or Life of Brian
Blues Brothers
Young Frankenstein
Brazil
This is Spinal Tap
